There are few steps which help you to lose your weight without any dieting.
A growling belly during your workout may be a symbol you're cheating yourself out of a larger calorie burn, this new research is published in the Journal of Science and Medicine in Sport.
For this study purpose, ten "recreationally active" college-age women of standard body weight were given a high-protein meal (45 % protein), low-protein meal (15 %), or no food at all prior to walking on a treadmill. The result shows that the women who ate the high-protein meal an hour earlier to working out burned more
calories per minute than the women who ate nothing in the meal. (There was no difference was found between the low-protein group and the fasting women.) The extra calorie burn amounted to 185 calories over the following 24-hour period.
What this show: "This show that the body will use much more calories when you have extra calories to expend (i.e., after eating)," says Ashley Binns who is the leader of the study and a Ph.D. student. Assuming you ate the same amount of whole daily calories, the extra calorie burn could add up to a fifteen pound weight loss over the course of a year. Even though fasting before exercise has earlier been used as a method for weight loss, in this way the body breaks down muscle and/or fat as fuel sources if you don’t eat food earlier to exercising, says Ashley. "This could potentially result in muscle weight loss." And less muscle in the end means less calorie burn.
The plan to eat a high-protein snack an hour earlier than your workout to burn more calories during exercise. The accurate amount of protein you should consume is still up for debate, although, says Ashley. "Many studies propose consumption of upward of thirty grams of protein spread throughout the day across 3 meals is ideal for maintenance of weight and/or weight loss." A very good high-protein food comprises protein drinks, egg whites, peanut butter, or Greek yogurt. An instance of a breakfast that meets the 45 % protein used in the study: one complete egg and two egg whites, plus two pieces of toast with butter and orange juice.
