Adele’s album ‘21’ passes 3 million United States digital sales

The album "21" by Adele who is a British singer has become the first to pass three million digital sales in the US, Nielsen who is a leading online tracking company said yesterday.



Three years after its release, the album’21’, Adele's second record, continues to have strong sales and so far has shifted 26 million copies all over the world.

A Nielsen spokesperson confirmed the album "21" had passed 3 million digital sales in the US, building on its top-selling global position in 2011 and 2012, on the back of the singles "Rolling in the deep" and "Someone like you".

The 25-year-old singer Adele enjoyed an wonderful 2013, winning the best original song Oscar for the 007 movie theme tune "Skyfall," at the 85th Academy Awards.

In 2012, Album"21" won six Grammy awards, though the singer has experienced some troubles with her voice in the past year.

According to reports, the London-born singer now a days working on  her new album.
