Samsung Galaxy S5 to be released by April

Samsung Galaxy S5
Lee Young Hee who is executive vice president of Samsung’s mobile business has said the Samsung will release its Galaxy S5 smartphone by April. Galaxy S5 smart phone may include eye scanner technology for the first time in the market.

Young Lee said the company was preparing the most recent in the Galaxy series to compete with Apple’s iPhone, and S5 will be paired with a new wearable device alongside the lines of the Galaxy Gear smartwatch.

Young Lee further mention that we have been announcing our first flagship model in the first half of each year, around March and April, and we are still targeting for release around that time. He said when we release our S5 smartphone device, you can also expect a Gear successor with latest functions, and the bulky design will also be improved.”

He said company was adding latest features and models to compete with Apple. We are trying to lunch at least one more wearable device this year.

“So many people are keen about iris recognition technology,” Young Lee told the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. “We are studying the possibility but cannot really say whether we will have it or not on the S5.”

Price of Samsung Galaxy S5

It's very clear that the S5 is going to cost the same as the Samsung Galaxy S4, so suppose to pay around £600 SIM-free. If there's a entire bunch of extra tech in the handset we could see the price go up, but as Apple phone stringently keeps the same pricing structure, we cannot think Samsung wanting to be seen as the costly manufacturer.
