4 Ways to Update Your Look in Less than 5 Minutes

The start of the school year marks a new start – so what better time than now to give you a little changes?  If you’ve been bearing in mind a new haircut, color or makeup palette, and now is the time to do it! Even if you don’t have a budget to spend on highlights or new beauty goods, there are simple little changes you can make that will update your look without costing you any money? If you don’t believe me? Read this carefully.

1. Switch up your part:

If you usually part your hair down the middle, switch things up by leaving it to the side and vice versa.  If you’re feeling daring, create a bottomless side part and gather your hair into a low side pony at the nape of your neck.  Wrap a strand of hair around the elastic and make safe with bobby pins.  So stylish!

2. Go lighter:

Provide yourself some natural highlights by squeezing lemon juice into your strands!    Just make sure to use a healthful hair mask like this one afterwards – your hair will need the extra dose of moisture to recover from any sun harm.

3. High-brow\Low-brow:

You can modify your entire look just by switching to a different brow shape. If you usually have gently curved brows, switch things up by penciling in a straighter shape. I did on three different brow shapes – it’s wonderful how different they can make you look!

4. Go matte:

A bright, matte lip was a vast beauty trend this spring that’s extending to fall.  Matte lips permit you to get away with wearing bolder lip colors, since bright, shiny lipsticks can often look childish or over-the-top.  Don’t have any matte lip colors? No worry! To get the matte lip look, all you have to do is apply your regular lipstick, place a tissue over your lips, and dust over the tissue with loose translucent powder.  The powder will leak through the tissue and give your lipstick a matte finish!
